Hyperlinking Keywords

It is generally considered better to hyperlink keywords rather than simply using a URL as a link. Hyperlinked keywords are usually referred to as "anchor text."
So, for example, let's say I am creating a post about "self serve blogging" and I want to point this link to a specific page:
http://www.linknet-promotions.com/subscribe.php
Rather than simply using this address as your link, it is more effective to use a link like this:
Why?
Because this associates the target page with "self serve blogging", and tells the search engines that is what the page is about. So it increases the chances that your target page will come up in searches for "self serve blogging."
